New Boniface Recoverer Trident for JPW Commercials

New Boniface Recoverer Trident for JPW Commercials

2024-03-18

JPW Commercials is a long-established business which was started back in 1999 by its current owner and Director - Jason Wiltshaw.  Over the years their reputation for providing excellent customer service has resulted in the business expanding and their having to move to larger and larger premises to cope with demand.  Their current premises in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent includes a 6 bay commercial workshop where they look after the fleets of several large well-known companies as well as their own fleet and many smaller businesses.   JPW also run a fleet of light and heavy recovery vehicles which not only provide support for their workshop customers but also carry out jobs on behalf of the Police, Highways, insurance companies and many others.

With the 25 years in business milestone looming, Jason along with wife Dionne decided it was time to invest in their first newly built heavy recovery vehicle and they gave Boniface a call to discuss their requirements.  After several meetings and discussions over specifications it was decided that the Recoverer Trident with side extending rear legs and Maxireach Lowline underlift was the right choice. This impressive equipment was to be mounted onto a new high spec Volvo FH16 8x4 chassis to create a very capable heavy duty towing and recovery machine.

As you would expect, the vehicle has been built to a very high standard and is packed with ancillary equipment allowing JPW to easily deal with any task they are required to perform – quickly, efficiently and safely. It includes numerous optional extras offered by Boniface including inset rear facing vehicle lights, radio remote control and side extending rear legs with integrated feet and spades which provide great stability and anchorage when using the Trident’s top recovery boom or performing heavy winching operations.  As with all Boniface builds, the bodywork has been manufactured from stainless steel ensuring it will perform well and look great for years to come.

Jason worked closely with the Boniface team throughout the build process, adding several unique items along the way and ensuring that every piece of equipment within the bodywork was stowed just as he wanted it using Boniface’s latest clip in stowage system.  This clip in system enables additional items to be purchased from Boniface along with the relevant stowage brackets and simply clipped into place within the lockers. It also allows new operators of the vehicle to easily re-configure the stowage to their own personal preferences.

Jason says “When it comes to my vehicles, I have a touch of OCD and when this truck was ordered I set Boniface a few tasks! The Boniface team certainly didn’t disappoint, the build quality, paint finish and even all my little requirements were met without fuss! I’m truly amazed with how it’s turned out.”

The Recoverer Trident has been carefully engineered to provide exceptional recovery capability using its heavy-duty top boom whilst being light enough to be used for everyday lift and tow work.  It features dual 50,000lb capacity twin speed winches, power tilt and is available with a range of underlift booms from Miller Industries or, as seen on this vehicle, the longest - lowest Maxireach Lowline K boom manufactured by Boniface.

Jason commented “It’s been a long process but well worth the wait, as they say you can’t rush perfection! What a machine it’s turned out to be!”
